As shown in the recordings of archaeological discoveries and historical documents, from Shang, Zhou to Warring States Period, there had been more and more obligation relationships arising with the development of social economy. With the increase of cases settling credits and debts, the classification of types of obligation naturally appeared in the practice, while different forms of obligation were made comparison to each other, all of which set the legal cultural for the adjustment of the obligation before Qing Dynasty in China.
