Ethno-specified meaning of legal words(ESMLW),by definition,embodies nationality in the meaning of legal words,which reveals the salient attributes of a nation's legal culture.This paper observes the main differences of the ethno-specified meanings of certain English-Chinese legal words as it intends to clarify the relations between the study of ESMLW and English-Chinese legal translation so as to call law-translators' attention to ESMLW.
