作为了解学生学习需要的重要手段,需求分析已被大学英语教师广泛采用。但是,值得注意的是,学生的需求很可能与教师的看法不尽相同;这个假设在作者实施的定性调查中得到证实。调查以师生对课堂教学活动的偏好为内容,得到了较有代表性的有效的反馈结果,即:师生在对教学法的态度上存在较大分歧。作者对这种"需求矛盾"的产生进行了简要分析,并提出了"缓和"矛盾的各种建设性措施。

  • Needs analysis, as a commonly used technique of identifying learners' needs for language teaching, has been adopted by many College English teachers. However, the point that needs to be made is that the learners' needs may conflict with the teacher's, which is confirmed by the survey study conducted by the author. Based on Nunan's negotiation model, this paper explores means of balancing the conflict under learner- centered system. It is proposed that needs conflict can be eased up by negotiating learning activities, developing learners' learning strategy, establishing rapport with students and improving the ability of organizing class.
