民本观是中国传统人文思想的重要而特殊的存在形式和表达方式。传统民本思想以人本否定神本 ,强调富民、重民、爱民、教民 ,对君本思想及其制度具有牵制和约束作用。但是 ,传统民本思想内含等级性、体制空缺、工具设喻性的缺陷 ,与现代民主观尚存较大差距。

The view of people as mainstay is an important form of existence and expression in China’s traditional thoughts of humanities. This view doesn’t value godsbut humans as the mainstay, namely, enriching people, loving people, valuing people and teaching people. These play a role in controlling and restricting the thoughts of emperors and systems. In spite of these, the traditional view of people as the mainstay has some limitations, a large gap from the modern democracy.
