翻译研究中的目的论学说所提出的观点,与中国资深外宣翻译工作者总结出来的经验是不谋而合的,对于中国外宣翻译工作的实践具有很强的指导意义。本文以目的论问理论为依据并结合平行文本对国内法院网英文版中存在的若干翻译问题进行了分析梳理,在此基础上提出在中国网络司法外宣翻译工作中,应根据翻译目的和预期读者的需求选择翻译材料,对原文材料中的信息进行必要翻译前处理,选择合适的翻译策略,依据读者所在文化中的规范对译文进行调整,确保译文的可读性,从而达到预期的翻译目的,取得良好的宣传效果。

  • The ideas proposed in the Skopos Theory,which are supported by the principles deducted by senior Chinese experts on international communication and publicity,are highly helpful to the theoretic study and practice of international publicity of China. On the basis of the Skopos Theory and in light of contrast and comparison with parallel texts,problems in the Chinese to English translation of typical materials published on the website of the Supreme People's Court of the People's Republic of China are analyzed. On the basis of the analysis,it is proposed that in the international publicity of the Chinese judiciary system,the materials to be translated should be selected on the basis of the needs of the expected audience and the purpose of the translation,and the information in the materials must be properly processed before the materials are translated into English in line with the cultural norms of the expected audience,so as to ensure the fluency of the translated version and the translation objectives will be fulfilled.
