"四个全面"战略布局是中国新一届中央领导集体治国理政的总体框架,其英语译文对于外界了解中国政坛新举措至关重要。本文介绍15家中外机构和媒体"四个全面"的英语译文,并以外宣翻译的原则为基础对其展开分析,发现这些译文的主要问题在于:译名不统一;误解或曲解原文的意思。文章继而对"四个全面"的英译提出了修改意见,并提出了改进外宣翻译的对策。

  • "Sige Quanmian",or the"Four Comprehensives",china's new strategic blueprint,is the general framework of the governance of China proposed by the new central collective leadership. Therefore,its English translation is of vital importance for people in foreign countries to understand the new moves in Chinese politics. The English translations,collected from 15 sources at home and abroad,are presented in this paper. Through analysis on the basis of international publicity principles,two major problems discovered with these translations: inconsistency of term translation,and misunderstanding or distortion of the SL meaning. Revisions of the current translations are presented and measures to improve international publicity proposed.
